Head of Global IT (f/m/d)

Our client is a german technology firm (tools) with over 1,500 employees in south germany.

Your scope:

  • Responsibility, maintenance, and further development of the IT landscape nationally and internationally
  • Standardization and homogenization of the implemented solutionsFurther development of the SAP ERP landscape and migration to SAP S/4HANA
  • Management of external service providers
  • Development and implementation of CRM solutions
  • Support and consultation of specialist departments regarding CAD/CAM applications
  • Support of specialist departments in process improvements/optimizations
  • Automation of process workflows
  • Advancement of digital transformation and related digitization projects
  • Definition and monitoring of service levels / escalation point for specialist departments / contact person for external IT service providers
  • Leadership and future expansion of the IT department (currently 2 employees)
  • Budget planning and responsibility for the IT sector, IT controlling
  • Continuation and further development of the IT strategy in alignment with the corporate strategy
  • Conducting tenders for services (specifications/requirements)
  • Ensuring IT security and IT compliance

Your profile:

  • Completed university degree, ideally in the fields of industrial engineering, computer science, business informatics, or engineering sciences
  • At least 3 years of experience as an IT manager, head of infrastructure, or SAP/ERP, or as a deputy IT manager
  • Experience in leading and motivating employees
  • Knowledge of modern IT architectures
  • Extensive experience in the field of SAP ERP, possibly already with experience in the SAP S/4HANA environment
  • Very good knowledge of technical processes and workflows
  • Experience in the area of „outsourced IT solutions“ and in insourcing IT services
  • The ability to create efficient overall solutions from the right mix of build and buy decisions
  • International mindset with good English skills and cultural openness
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player

As part of its continued expansion, the position of Vice President Research & Development (R&D) Offshore Wind (m/f/d) is vacant

Your Tasks

Develop and implement the R&D strategy for the offshore wind segment at both national and international levels.

Lead and develop an interdisciplinary team of experts.

Oversee complex innovation and development projects for offshore energy technology components (including low-, medium-, and high-voltage systems).

Design and implement operations, maintenance, and service strategies for offshore wind farms.

Analyze operational data to identify and deliver efficiency improvements and optimization opportunities.

Ensure technical quality and compliance with regulatory standards while continuously advancing methods and processes.

Build and maintain partnerships with technology providers, research institutions, and service contractors.

Your Profile

Completed university degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a related field.

Several years of leadership experience in R&D or technical management roles, ideally in the offshore wind or energy technology sector.

Solid knowledge of low-, medium-, and high-voltage systems as well as relevant standards and regulations.

Experience in developing and implementing operations and maintenance concepts.

Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset combined with strong execution skills and a collaborative approach.

Outstanding leadership qualities

Exceptional organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.

Fluent communication and presentation skills in German and English.
